The reconstruction of Bhumesthan continues slowly but steadily.
Narayan was there at the end of December and sent us some photos again. The money for the new roofs was handed over. 21 houses are almost finished - some of the good roofs are still missing.
They are all confident that things will continue well - even if not quite as quickly as desired. There is a lack of skilled workers to take care of all the houses at the same time. If we are lucky, the foundations of all the houses will be in place before the next monsoon - but in a country like Nepal, this cannot be predicted with such precision.
In any case, we will stay in touch and provide further information...
The residents of Bhumesthan once again send a big thank you to all donors - they are overjoyed that people from such a distant country are thinking of you and helping you.
