I have to admit, things have been very quiet at WIR-BEWEGEN for the last four years. During the Covid pandemic we were able to help out with small food packages in Kathmandu. Thanks to our dear friends and loyal donors, we have also managed to enable +/- 10 children to attend high school every year so that they can complete their degree including a certificate.
Now our twins are four years old and I have the energy again to take care of the project that is close to my heart.
The Lions Club Hochwald-Hermeskeil certainly provided an impetus. Here I realized again how much money we have; and with how little money you can make a difference in Nepal. So I woke up from “hibernation”.
A first step will now be a visit to Nepal in 2022. So I can certainly check whether all animals have arrived in Grang ( goat project
). Of course I will not miss the opportunity to visit Bhumesthan. How many times have I thought of “our” village over the years. I looked at the pictures and exchanged me with Narayan about the condition of the villagers.
Of course I would also like to go to the school in Fulkharka to get a picture there. Talk to the children and teachers. I would like to try to find out how many children in the region are unable to complete high school each year because their families don't have the money...
With this knowledge and all the experiences in my heart, I will hopefully become a little creative again and find ideas on how we can move WE-MOVING forward; Collect more donations and achieve more in Nepal.
I'm really looking forward to finally traveling to Nepal again!
